“Preconceived notions, dogmas, and all personal prejudice and bias must be laid aside. Listen patiently, quietly, and reverently to the lessons, one by one, which Mother Nature has to teach, shedding light on that which was before a mystery, so that all who will, may see and know. She conveys her truths only to those who are passive and receptive. Accepting these truths as suggested, wherever they may lead, then we have the whole universe in harmony with us. At last man has found… that he is part of a universe which is eternally unstable in form, eternally mutable in substance.” ~Luther Burbank

When you stop thinking,
there are no bias, dogmas or notion.
There is only a world full of emotion.

Very well said. That is the point where we can listen to the heart, our true Self.

I love the notion of listening quietly. Most of us don’t do enough of that, do we?

We can learn so much from nature. I would highly-recommend the book and/ movie “In The WIld.” Its the story of a young American boy who gave up the life he knew to learn what it was like to survive in the wild. He seeks to live in nature like the poet Thoreau. Quite an amazing story.

Isn’t being human part of thinking?
What ever happened to “I think, therefore I am”?
Sorry I haven’t been around. I’ve been sick lately. Better now.

@JD Thanks you your comment, they are always appreciated! Yes, definately part of being human is thinking. But to connect with the “oneness” of everything, we need silence and listen/communicate from the heart.
